When girls grow beyond the princess and tea party phase, birthday parties evolve into slumber parties and a bit more “grown up” themes. My eldest daughter is navigating the preteen years, and is over playing with barbie dolls, etc. She had her first slumber party this year – a Pizza & PJs Party. Her BFF chose a Rise & Shine Birthday Brunch.
My nephew recently turned 7 years old, and decided on a Camp Out party. This was such a fun idea! Tents and torches… Hot dogs and hot chocolate… and s’mores galore!
